Sorry to say...

It has been a while since my last post, so I thought I had better give an update. Cutting a long story short I have suffered massive nerve damage following my fall.  I have a long road to any form of recovery ahead. I do not know how long before I pick up a paintbrush again and so, for the foreseeable future, it will be rather quiet around here. Not much else I can say really, absolutely gutted but life sometimes throws stuff like this at you.

 Regards to all,

Matt.

That is bad news, Matt, but good luck with the recovery. Hopefully you'll be able to paint again in the not too distant future

I can't think of any meaningful comment on this awful news but to wish you the best in this difficult journey and a wish for recovery at the other end. Keep us posted as/when you are up to doing so.

Matt,

sh*t happens. Having gone through a period of recovery a while ago, I can only recommend to keep busy. I found it was the perfect time to read all those (history and wargaming)books and watch all those movies and documentaries without feeling guilty of spending time that way, I couldn't do much else anyway.
So of to the library, or find some deals on the net (amazon!) and get to it.
Enjoy your misery, I would say.
Oh, and I wish you a speedy recovery, of course.

I am very sorry to hear this sad news. I hope the recovery is as quick as possible.

I hope that you are able to enjoy some of the other aspects of the hobby, though I do realise a painful and limiting injury is likely to make it hard for you.

best wishes
John

That is really bad news. Try and be patient and let the healing process do it's stuff and hopefully it won't be too long before you are back to normal

Sorry to hear this Matt.

I had a minor injury last year that nevertheless took six months to sort out so I have a very slight appreciation for what you are going through.

If you can't paint soldiers You can always do what I did and set up a blog featuring naked women and watch your page hits top 6,000 a day!

Legatus-Good idea, I will start "researching" tonight!

Hi Matt,
Really sad news. Your ACW project inspired me to dip back into this era and I've now got another mountain of plastic to get through!
As a cycling fanatic also, I get the "there but for the grace of feeling...."
Keep the spirits up mate, look forward to seeing you back in action soon

Cheers,

Clive
